On-Site & Mobile Calibration Services
For many aviation and aerospace operations, removing equipment and shipping it off-site is not feasible. For those clients, we offer on-site avionics calibration services using our fully equipped mobile calibration lab. All mobile calibrations follow the same standards as our lab-based services. This service brings our metrology team to your location, reducing equipment downtime and helping you maintain production schedules. Equipment is tested using portable reference instruments with recent NIST-traceable calibration certificates. Reports and certificates are uploaded to our secure portal for easy retrieval.

Continental Testing is ANAB-accredited to ISO/IEC 17025, the globally recognized standard for laboratory testing and calibration. External assessors review our procedures, employee competencies, and uncertainty budgets on a regular schedule.
Federal Aviation Administration rules (see 14 CFR §145.109) require each tool and instrument used for aircraft work to match the manufacturer’s stated tolerance. Scope Review and Asset Intake
Instruments are logged, labeled, and visually inspected. We validate model and serial data, verify manufacturer specifications, model details, confirm required tolerances, and review any prior calibration history. -
Pre-Calibration Performance Check
Before adjustments are made, each unit undergoes as-found testing. These measurements are recorded for traceability and help track drift over time, supporting your predictive maintenance program. -
NIST-Traceable Adjustment
Technicians compare readings to primary standards, adjust where possible, and note items that need repair rather than calibration. If a device falls outside acceptable tolerance and adjustments are possible, they are made. -
Final Verification and Uncertainty Calculation
Post-adjustment data confirm compliance. Measurement uncertainty is computed using the Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement (GUM). If required, calibration adjustments are validated through repeat testing. -
Digital Certificates and Cloud Archive
You receive a detailed calibration certificate uploaded to our secure portal once the calibration review is complete. These records include all data points, uncertainty estimates, traceability references, and notes regarding any repairs or issues found.
