What Is Chemical Calibration?
Chemical calibration is the process of verifying and adjusting instruments that analyze chemical properties (such as concentration, pH, conductivity, turbidity, and other key metrics) to ensure their readings are accurate and traceable. Our Five-Step Aviation Calibration Process
We follow a standardized but flexible process to ensure accuracy, traceability, and turnaround efficiency. Here’s how your instruments move through our chemical calibration workflow:
Quote and Intake: Clients request a quote online or by phone. We provide flat-rate pricing with no hidden fees. Once instruments arrive, we log and tag them, capturing their condition and serial numbers.
As-Found Testing: We record how your instrument performs before any adjustments are made. This “as-found” data helps document any drift or performance changes.
Calibration Against Standards: Our technicians use NIST-traceable reference materials. For example:
- pH meters are tested with certified buffer solutions (e.g., pH 4.01, 7.00, 10.01).
- Gas monitors are calibrated using verified gas blends at known concentrations.
- Conductivity meters are checked using certified standard solutions at multiple points.
Adjustments and Repairs: If we find that an instrument is out of tolerance, we’ll perform minor adjustments. That includes cleaning probes, replacing batteries, or adjusting internal settings—at no extra charge.
As-Left Results and Certification: After recalibration, we test again and document the “as-left” results. We then issue a digital certificate that includes:
- Serial number
- Calibration date
- Next calibration due
- Measurement data and uncertainty
- Technician and lab information
Return Shipping or Pick-Up: We return your calibrated instruments with stickers and documentation attached. You’ll also receive digital access through our secure client portal.
